Van Slyke, Helen
(1919-1979) Ван Слик, Хелен
Писательница, автор ряда романов-бестселлеров [bestseller] о профессиональной карьере и личной жизни современной женщины. В 1938-43 редактор отдела мод в газете "Вашингтон стар" [Washington Star]. В 1945-60 работала в женском журнале "Глэмор" [Glamour]. В 1963-68 президент парфюмерной фирмы "Хауз ов фрейгранс" [House of Fragrance], в 1968-72 вице-президент компании "Хелена Рубинстайн" [Helena Rubinstein Inc.]. Среди ее романов, вышедших общим тиражом более 6 млн. экземпляров и переведенных на многие языки: "Богатые и добродетельные" ["The Rich and the Righteous"] (1971), "Сердце слушает" ["The Heart Listens"] (1973), "Всегда не значит навсегда" ["Always Is Not Forever"] (1977), "Нужная женщина" ["A Necessary Woman"] (1979), "Вот такая любовь" ["No Love Lost"] (1980)
